This Contemporary Townhouse was Added to 1880s Restoration with a Unique Design
Looking at Architect Guillaume Lévesque's early building was inspired to create two apartments in an 1880s duplex building in Montraal, Canada. This development combines two modern designs and heritage architects of the 1880s in harmony and balance. The building with an area of 60m2 was completely renovated and built two apartments with large windows that can fill the apartment with natural light. Both apartments have an open plan with brick walls and the attic is covered in slate tiles. At the back is a contemporary addition with a simple black panel wrapping.
It has been built entirely of roofing and woodworking. Contemporary additions extend on three levels covering 180 sqm at the back with a neat finish of metallic finish. In the basement there is a hidden double door garage and a storage room. The first floor contains a living room that is open so that you can see outside freely with the support of a sliding door measuring 4m x 12m. Next to the living room there is a kitchen adjacent to the stairs to the second floor.
The luxurious white marble kitchen island and wood-patterned floor with an open design, make this interior in harmony with the terrace of the house. The terrace of the house uses wood as the floor and ceiling. The terrace of the house also functions as an open-air dining area and comfortable black chairs.
